Forgan Arts Centre is rooted in the community and strives to offer educational and cultural opportunities to people of all ages and abilities, in an environment that enriches well-being.
Established in 1978, the Centre offers a wide variety of classes and events to the residents of Newport-On-Tay and surrounding towns and villages.
Activities include Pottery, Upholstery, Crafts, Painting, Floral Art,
Dressmaking, Stained Class, Watercolour, Photography, Life Drawing
and more. Our regular seasons are Autumn (September-December) and
Spring (January-May, with a break for Easter); and our Summer season
features one-off events and shorter courses. In addition to our popular,
long-running courses, we run new workshops, classes and events each
season - so be sure to keep an eye on what we're doing.
For more information, please see our Current Programme.
The Centre is a Registered Charity (SCO08537), run by a volunteer Commitee, plus three part-time members of staff. Committee meetings are held approximately every two months, during the term times. Additionally, there is an Annual General Meeting which all members are welcome to attend. We are currently supported by Fife Council and income from membership, classes and events.
