MAKING PICTURES – DRAWING ON EXPERIENCE
The course will build on previous experience of drawing and introduce new materials and techniques. You will experiment with mixing different media, create unexpected things and discover the strengths and weaknesses of differing materials.
The tutor will demonstrate the use of line, texture, tone and colour. We will look at approaches to the composition, collecting ideas in a variety of materials, including pencil, charcoal, pen, pastel and coloured pencil.
The aim is to build confidence and have fun exploring materials, working towards a final piece.
Bring along a drawing kit and whatever art materials that you have to play with. Paper is available to purchase at the Centre.
