Kirsty Tudor from Falkland Felts has been felt making for over 20 years. Now mainly tutoring, Kirsty loves enthusiastically sharing her love of felting with students of all ages.
The class will run over 7 evenings, with two evenings being three hour classes to allow time to tackle some more advanced projects. During the classes we will cover a brief history of felting and look at how felt has been used in the past and present. In the first few weeks we will make a variety of projects, bracelets, felt soap rocks, mini felt wall hangings with needle felted details and 3d needle felting; This will allow us to develop skills in each area. Students will then be free to choose a project to develop over the final weeks with tutor support.
All material costs to be met by the student and should be no more than £20 in total.
