Job title:                      Assistant Coordinator

Responsible to: Centre Coordinator

Job purpose: To support the Centre Coordinator in all aspects of running Forgan Arts Centre

Hours: 18 hrs per week (with potential increase to full-time)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Supporting Coordinator with administration, upkeep of booking system, files and general enquiries.

2. Assisting Coordinator with Promotion, Marketing and Events.

3. To arrange furniture and equipment etc. for classes, events and private hire.

4. Maintaining Forgan Arts Centre's policies and procedures.

 

These job details reflect the main tasks and responsibilities of the job now, and may evolve over time to include other tasks and responsibilities as the Forgan Arts Centre develops as an organisation.

 

Experience:

Essential-Experience of working in an office environment

Desirable-Some knowledge of community arts in Scotland

 

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

Essential-Word, Excel, Mailchimp, Social Media

Desirable-Knowledge of Photoshop

 

Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

Essential-Personable and friendly

 

General:

Assistant Centre Co-ordinator Position:

 

•Organisation: Forgan Arts Centre

•Salary: £8742 (£17,000 Pro Rata of 35 hours)

•Salary info: 18 hrs/week with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends

•Status: Part time

The Assistant Coordinator will support the Coordinator in all relevant aspects of the Arts Centre, such as administrative tasks (e.g. booking system, memberships, general enquiries, marketing) and the practical day to day running of the Centre. It is anticipated that the post will develop into a wider role, supporting the strategic development and delivery of Arts, Crafts and Education activity across all areas of Forgan Arts Centre.
