At Forgan Arts Centre we want everyone to be able to experience the joy of crafting.
We welcome all but do have some access challenges due to the age of the building.
If you have any additional needs to access the building please call us on 01382 542 062 and we will do our best to support you.
In our aim to provide you with as much support as possible here are some FAQs regarding access.
How many steps up to the building?
From the side entrance from the road – 5, then 2 more into the back door
Front door – 7, and then 1 more into the building.
What are the outdoor surfaces?
Concert in the car park. 8 spaces.
Gravel and grass in the overflow carpark, accessed by a large gate.
What are the bathroom facilities?
There is a single bathroom that is not accessible for a wheelchair
Is there a lift down to the kilns?
No - 4 steps, and a tight turn into doorway. 2 more steps inside. Very cramped inside.
Do you have a bus stop near by?
Further down Cupar Road, towards Newport.
And on the other side of the Forgan roundabout, on the St Andrews road. This one requires crossing the dual carriageway on foot.
We are just outside Newport itself, on Cupar Road, located near the Forgan roundabout - we're the old school building.
Parking is available off-road, drive into the Centre's front yard. Some parking is possible outside the Centre, against the Centre wall only. On busy days, we have the use of an overspill space: this will be opened by Centre staff when we anticipate the need and will be signposted.
