WATERCOLOUR with Steve Bretel
These are specially designed classes tailored to the individual’s abilities, for learning or improving painting skills, gaining confidence and finding out what you can really do with watercolours. From laying down washes, painting without a paintbrush to building up pattern and textures, these classes cover exciting techniques using various water-based mediums. Students will bring along their own materials and have the chance to experiment whilst working on their own paintings.
Following art school in Wales in the 1980s and several years in London as a commercial artist Steve's passion for adventure in the wild outdoors took him to Scotland where he now lives and work delivering courses for a wide range of providers. A past member of the Society of Industrial Artists & Designers, he holds a BA in Visual Communication. Steve draws and paints with a wide variety of materials and teaches at all levels: from beginners to more experienced artists. A regular exhibitor in galleries and open studio events, he has recently completed a residency in the west of Scotland.
