Wire Sculpture workshops....

WIRE SCULPTURE   WORKSHOP

 

FOR ALL ABILITIES: with Jen Robson

 

This workshop is suitable for anyone including beginners or professionals seeking to play with wire as a material.

Tutor Jen will take you through a step by step process to create your own aluminium wire sculpture

You can create whatever you fancy, a representational form animal or human figures, abstract or organic inspired forms or geometric decorative art. Your final piece can be a hanging, wall art or freestanding sculpture.

Aluminium wire is a delicious material to use, lightweight, flexible and easy to manipulate and can be cut and formed with your bare hands and with basic hand tools (such as pliers/wire cutters). It's just like drawing in the air. You can bring your own ideas along or work on your design in the class with tutor support. You can incorporate other materials into your design. All wire will be supplied and some extra materials but you can also bring your own, anything such a feathers, fabric, threads, embroidery, paper, string, beads, jewellery, anything that can be attached using wire.

Come along and make your own sculpture.

Part Two is for students that have attended the first workshop and want to further their development.

LIGHT UP NEON WIRE SCULPTURE   WORKSHOP

 

FOR ALL ABILITIES: with Jen Robson

 

Make your own Neon Wire Sculpture! It doesn’t have to be a chicken, but chickens are cool.

Using aluminium wire you will learn wire sculpture techniques and combine it with LED neon wire to create a neon wall sculpture inspired by your own quirky continuous line drawing of a chicken because well, why not!

Bring your own ideas along or begin your design in class with tutor support. Materials are included.
